I bought three plants at the show, two from the Three Amigos and one from Hidden Valley Orchids.
Three Amigos - Cym Snow Beauty 'Trinity' x50. Ref number DF 0821

Unfortunately I managed to knock off one of the petals on this plant on the journey (90 minutes in weekend traffic.....urgh) but there are another 5 buds to open yet.

The second plant from Three Amigos is a Cattleya....so I won't show that photo!

Thanks for sharing, Diane. I don't often get to see any of the Sundaani crosses.

That last plant you bought is Cym. Summer Pearl, though not sure which clone (there are several in circulation in Australia, including 'Sonia', 'Shirley' and 8117). Yours is not 8117 as that is a clean white; it might be 'Shirley', though.

I did wonder if the label was correct, as it seems strange to only have the one word then the named variety but there is only those two names on the label with the word Pearl having the quotation marks.

I'll change my notes and the label I did to reflect this plus add your comments about the different clones. Ill keep the original label too. Thank you.

I've just looked at photos of both Cym Summer Pearl 'Shirley' and 'Sonia' and to me it seems most likely I have the 'Sonia' clone.
I name searched via Google and it showed Floraculture website for 'Shirley' and Lyttle Orchid website for 'Sonia'

Glad you liked it.
I wasn't able to get many photos as I'm limited in walking due to a hip problem.

I don't think it's 'Sonia' - the labellum isn't quite right and looks quite different to my plant of 'Sonia' (which isn't as strongly pink under my conditions).

It might be 'Selma' instead:

To the best of my knowledge all the Summer Pearl plants have been imports from Floricultura, so I'd start with their website to try to narrow it down.

Yes, all were bred at Geyserland and cloned by Floricultura. Pirated by various Australian nurseries! By now they’re likely clones of clones of clones.
Hopefully The Three Amigos will be cloning some of our newer lines.
