It's amazing how plantsmen know more about taxonomy than "Taxidiots'!

My friend in Japan sent me a picture of a Cym that someone sold him as Cym. sanderae. Because he is a very observant fellow, he was dubious about the label. And rightly so!

There is no such Cymbidium as Cym. sanderae. It is a hybrid and correctly, that hybrid is made and registered as Cym Tussock. Now that jerk Dunkelberger registered the exact same hybrid as Cym Steve Shifflet in 2012?? How can that be?

My position is clear. There is but one Cym. parishii 'Sanderae' and its 4n iteration, Cym. parishii 'Emma Menninger'. The orchid masquerading as Cym. sanderae is actually Cym Tussock which we made as a 4n ages ago. Just as a side note, it has been a very good parent for New Horizon. We have been alerting enthusiasts to both Tussock hybrids and Keshab Pradhan hybrids for some years now. If you've ignored the previews, you may be very regretful. By now, I know clearly that we have an exciting new hybridizing direction built around Cym. eburneum 'NH' 4n and Cym. parishii 'Sanderae'
