It always pays to check on a poster´s credentials....

Recently I commented on a supposed Cym. eburneum in a post. The poster was clearly no Cym expert and he posted a hybrid under the name of Cym. eburneum. Lo and behold, I was corrected by some know-it-all by the name of Sushil Gurung. I had a little time so I checked him out. Hey presto, where do you think he resides? In Darjeeling of all places. Clearly he is a ¨Darjeeling Limited¨as far as knowledge of Indian Cym species go. I looked at his posts and they were all made up of pirated clones. Things like Red Nelly from the long gone but never forgotten Valley Orchids. Registered in 1992 no less, over 30 years ago. But nary an Indian Cym species pic could I find. I have had opportunities to send material to Indian Labs but the stories one hears about many Labs in the Pune area are truly alarming. Some very light fingers among certain members of the Lab staff for sure.
